I wanted to share the joy and privilege of last week's ministry at Calvary Chapel Whitefish. Before the evening even started the Youth pastor had a young man ask to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. What a great way to start the night. Then, after the drama and bible study the pastor asked a girl if she had asked Jesus to save her. She said she had not but she wanted to, however, she had doubts. After a time of prayer and discussion she decided she needed Jesus to come into her life.
I'm sure the party in heaven was joyous and sweet that night. Thank you to all who support Cross Purpose with your prayers and donations. it is because of you that we are able to minister in so many places. May God bless you and keep you in His loving hand.
The following is an excerpt from a letter that I wrote to a friend after a ministry at a Men’s Retreat in November 2000.
“I was well prepared for this ministry time. I had prayed and fasted and yet, only ten feet from the front of the room I still wasn't sure what I would say. Of course, I would begin with the first fourteen verses of the gospel of John. I always start with, 'In the beginning'. As I came forward I felt a nudge from the Lord. I heard in my spirit, 'start with the Shama Israel’. In the few seconds it took me to complete my journey to the front of the room I questioned God. But Lord, why 'Shama Israel'. I always start with, 'In
the beginning' Again I felt the leading in my spirit, 'Shama Israel', and then as I stood in front of the men with my eyes closed I began to speak the words, 'Hear O Israel, the Lord your God the Lord is One. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind.........'
I rocked back and forth as I continued the traditional Hebrew prayer, and a hush filled the room. When I opened my eyes and looked at the faces of these men, this 'warrior class' of Christians, I noticed that many already had tears rolling down their faces, some were on their knees, some just sat staring and the Lord had only just begun to speak through this time of drama ministry.
Later that evening…a man I had never seen before, came up to me, grabbed me in a fierce bear hug and wept on my shoulder. He said, as we stood there, that he hadn't heard the words of 'Shama' since he was a child. The prayer reminded him of his wonderful relationship with his father that had fallen by the wayside as he grew into a man and became a Messianic Jew.
God had broken through the wall that this man had placed between himself and a loving father which ultimately had placed a wall between him and his eternal Father. Others told me they saw Jesus that night; that they had been transported to a time long ago when God walked this earth as the Son of Man…”
Partnerships
One of our goals has always been to provide drama to small churches, prisons, youth groups and other venues that would not normally be able to afford to have a live drama performance in their locale. We are looking for the support of those who believe in the presentation of the WORD through a dramatic format. Won’t you prayerfully consider becoming a partner of Cross Purpose Productions:
- in your prayers
- in helping us locate groups that would benefit from GOD’S WORD VISUALLY ILLUSTRATED
- through your financial contributions
Thank you for allowing yourselves to be used by God and THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS.
If you have prayerfully considered becoming a monthly partner to Cross purpose Productions or wish to make a gift contribution, please write your check to Whitefish Foursquare Church and remember to put Cross Purpose Productions in the memo. These gifts are fully tax deductible.
Thank you and may your lives be richly blessed as you sow seed into this ministry! |
