SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

I grew up with a strong sense of calling on my life to minister through the dramatic arts. My family tradition was Catholic so I attended Mass regularly. Mass in the 1960's was full of mystery and drama, Latin, incense, chanting along with the statues and stained glass created a magical stage for the Holy Spirit. I use to think that meant that I was supposed to be a priest in the Catholic church but I strongly resisted that notion. Today I realize that calling was from God to be a minister of The Word of God through dramatic presentations.
My grandmother was one of the strongest formative influences on my life. She was a faith filled woman who had a very close personal relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Growing up I had never really read or heard much of the Bible directly, but later on, as I began to read it as a Christian, I could see that my Grandmother's life was a living testimony of God's Word. She lived a life of love and selfless giving. Even though she did not always quote Scripture she always lived it. As St. Francis said, “Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary, use words.” This is what we believe to be true.
